Avonmouth and Salford acquisitions take Harleyford Logistics Partnership II to five assets, while Bond Sutuntivorakoon and Stepan Suchkov strengthen the platform.
Harleyford Capital has completed two further acquisitions for its UK urban logistics strategy for a combined £16 million, adding assets in Avonmouth, Bristol and Salford, Greater Manchester, while strengthening its investment team with the appointments of Bond Sutuntivorakoon and Stepan Suchkov.
The acquisitions are the fourth and fifth investments for Harleyford Logistics Partnership II, following the three initial acquisitions in Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffield. The strategy targets income-producing urban logistics assets, acquired at or below replacement cost, in major UK metropolitan markets whilst offering rental reversion and opportunities to create value through asset management.
Harleyford has acquired a 50,000 sq ft logistics facility in Avonmouth, approximately 10 miles from Bristol city centre, together with a 60,000 sq ft freehold facility in Salford, approximately five miles from Manchester city centre.
Alongside continued deployment, Harleyford has expanded its investment team with the appointments of Bond Sutuntivorakoon as Director and Stepan Suchkov as Analyst.
Sutuntivorakoon joins Harleyford from ESR Europe, where he was a Vice President in the European Real Estate team, focused on investment origination and execution. His appointment reunites him with Dean Harrison, Thomas Mallindine and Zayn Khamisa, with whom he previously worked at InfraRed Capital Partners, further strengthening a team with an established track record of investing together.
Suchkov joined Harleyford as an Analyst following completion of an MPhil in Real Estate Finance at the University of Cambridge. He works across investment underwriting, transaction execution and asset management, including Harleyford’s strategies with Nuveen Real Estate, Tristan Capital Partners and Fiera Real Estate.
Harleyford Capital was founded in 2022 by Harrison, Mallindine and Khamisa. Since launch, the business has committed approximately £300m across UK logistics investment and development strategies.
Dean Harrison, Managing Director, Investments at Harleyford Capital commented:
“These acquisitions represent further progress in deploying our urban logistics strategy, taking the Partnership II portfolio to more than 250,000 sq ft. Both assets fit our focus on well-located, institutional-quality logistics assets in major UK markets where we can drive value through active asset management.
“Alongside deploying capital, we have continued to invest in the Harleyford platform. Having worked closely with Bond at InfraRed, I know first-hand the experience and judgement he brings. Reuniting him with Tom, Zayn and me, alongside Stepan, further strengthens the team as we continue to grow the business and pursue new investment opportunities.”
Bond Sutuntivorakoon, Director at Harleyford Capital commented:
“I am delighted to be joining the Harleyford team and to be working with Dean, Tom and Zayn again. This is an exciting chapter in the firm’s journey as we continue to invest, manage and develop best-in-class urban logistics assets and execute on compelling investment strategies on behalf of our investors.”
